About us

The Bhajan Satsangh Prayer Group Trust, Auckland is a registered organization under the Societies Act, comprising of a board of 8 Trustees. It serves a community of approximately 300 families in Auckland and operates as a voluntary, not-for-profit entity.

The Trust’s primary activity is organizing monthly gatherings for Bhajans, held on the first Saturday of each month. These events consistently attract over 100 participants, offering an opportunity for the community, especially the younger generation, to connect with and learn about the traditions of their cultural heritage.

Our Mission

The objective of the Trust is to establish and sustain a platform for learning and sharing the rich traditions of Indian culture, with music playing an integral role in this process.

Events

In addition to its monthly activities, the Bhajan Satsangh organizes prayer sessions to celebrate four key Hindu festivals, observed as community events:
– Maha Shivarathri
– Sri. Ramanavami
– Sri. Narasimha Jayanthi & Shankara Jayanthi
– Sri Krishna Janmashtami & Sri. Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana

These events require extensive planning and the voluntary support of community members, often attracting over 250 participants.
